In the early 1970s, the emphasis shifted from fōku's simple songs with a single guitar accompaniment to more complex musical arrangements known as new music (ニューミュージック, nyū myūjikku).[57] Instead of social messages, the songs focused on more personal messages, such as love. In 1972, singer-songwriter Takuro Yoshida produced a hit song "Kekkon Shiyouyo" ("Let's marry") without decent television promotion, though fans of fōku music became very angry because his music seemed to be a mersh[clarification needed] music.[58] The highest-selling single of the year was the enka song by Shiro Miya and the Pinkara Trio, "Onna no Michi".[58] The song eventually sold over 3.25 million copies.[59] On December 1, 1973, Yōsui Inoue released the album Kōri no Sekai, which topped the Oricon charts and remained in Top 10 for 113 weeks.[60] It spent 13 consecutive weeks in the number-one spot, and eventually established a still-standing record of a total 35 weeks at the number-one position on the Oricon charts.[42][61] Yumi Matsutoya, formerly known by her maiden name Yumi Arai, also became a notable singer-songwriter during this period In October 1975, she released a single "Ano Hi ni Kaeritai" ("I want to return to that day"), making it her first number-one single on the Oricon charts.[62] Miyuki Nakajima, Amii Ozaki, and Junko Yagami were also popular singer-songwriters during this period. At first, only Yumi Matsutoya was commonly called a new music artist, but the concept of Japanese fōku music changed around that time.[63] In 1979, Chage and Aska made their debut, and folk band Off Course (with singer Kazumasa Oda) released a hit song "Sayonara" ("Good-bye").

Athena was taught Kung Fu by Chin Gentsai, probably the style of Wing Chun. Her stance was loosely based on Liuhebafa. While Athena is a capable hand-to-hand fighter, she mostly relies on her psychic powers to fight. Athena is not feared for her martial arts training, but she is respected and can somewhat hold her own against some fighters. Athena's fighting style revolves mostly around simple yet effective strikes, and around speed and acrobatics, rather than strength. She uses her psychic powers to full effectiveness when in combat, improving her martial capabilities, controlling the battlefield and catching the enemy off guard with several surprise tactics.
Previously a member of the Literary Club, Yuki is the third person to join the SOS Brigade. At first glance, she appears to be an introverted, taciturn bibliophile. She later reveals herself to Kyon as an alien created by the Data Overmind, and possesses supernatural powers as a result. She was sent to North High to watch over Haruhi Suzumiya, and over the course of her time there she comes to develop insights into being a person, as well as emotions (according to Kyon).
Nagato's most prominent moment is in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, in which due to errors Nagato steals Haruhi's powers to alter the universe so that there are no paranormal beings. As a consequence, Haruhi and Itsuki do not attend North High, Ryoko is not transferred, and there is no SOS Brigade. Kyon notices a stark difference in her actions up until that point, mainly because Nagato had been anticipating this would happen and was unable to prevent it. In the altered world, Nagato is a shy, introverted girl. In order to ensure her safety as a vulnerable human, Nagato also altered Ryoko to be her loyal defender, protecting her from both physical and emotional threats by any means necessary. As she still lives alone, she rarely gets the will to eat and Ryoko must act as a concerned neighbor and bring her food. Nagato takes an interest in Kyon. She invites him to join the Literature Club and gets him to stay for dinner.
As a humanoid interface, Nagato has numerous powers, seemingly enhanced when in a space under data jurisdiction. Many but not all of her powers require her to use "incantations" (in which she speaks a computer language very quickly) or arm movements (in The Disappearance).
Years later, Black Condor somehow appeared to fight alongside not only his own team, but every single Sentai Ranger in existence, against the Empire of Zangyack when it attacked the Earth in the Great Legend War. After fighting against hundreds of Gormin and their Zgormin commanders. Akarenger noticed the fleet moving towards them, he gathered all the Rangers together and gave them the order to sacrifice their powers to wipe out the first invasion's armada. After the fighting ended, Gai returned to Heaven. The Black Condor powers are later used by Don Dogoier via the Ranger Keys. After the Gokaigers defeat Ackdos Gill, Marvelous returned the Ranger Keys to their original owners. Since Gai could still transform in his deceased state, it is assumed its return was a symbolic measure as opposed to the actual return of his powers. TV STORY-Final Ep.: Farewell Space Pirates
The Black Condor Ranger Key (ブラックコンドルレンジャーキー, Burakku Kondoru Renjā Kī) is Gai Yuki's personal Ranger Key and what became of his powers after he along with the rest of the 34 Super Sentai sacrificed their powers to end the Great Legend War.

The Great Leader reveals that he had been behind the Delzer Army, Destron and other previous evil organizations opposed by the Riders. He takes on the form of a rock giant, impervious to the attacks of the Riders. However, they combine their powers and go into his body. There, they find a giant alien brain who self destructs in an attempt to kill all seven Riders, however, they all escape successfully and leave, reminiscing everything they've gone through so far. [Goodbye! The Glorious Seven Riders!]
Neo Shocker troops start kidnapping many people around Japan in order to work as slaves in their operation to bring about a large volcanic eruption in Japan. The seven Riders spread around Japan to fight against various attacks from Neo Shocker. In a later battle, Skyrider is easily wounded and left unconscious while trying to face Gurand Bazarmy. While he recovers, the Riders communicate telepathically with the unconscious Hiroshi Tsukuba. The Riders tell Skyrider that he should go through an intense training where he'd receive their powers, multiplying his strength 20 times to fight against Gurand Bazarmy again.
Attending the call of Stronger and Rider 2, who had located Neo Shocker's main base, in Japan, Riderman returns from South Africa, joining up with the other Seven Legendary Riders. They head to Neo Shocker's underwater base, only to be faced with a giant dragon, Neo Shocker's, Great Leader himself. Riderman's and everyone else's attacks prove to be ineffective against the Great Leader, however, they hold on long enough for Skyrider to arrive. Skyrider stuns the Great Leader by shooting his foot with a bowgun, and, using the opportunity, all Seven Legendary Riders hit him with their Rider Kicks, knocking down the giant. However, he was still alive, and decides to explode alongside a giant bomb, taking out not only himself, but Earth itself by destroying it's atmosphere. The eight Riders combine their powers and use Skyrider's Sailing Jump together, grabbing the Great Leader and taking him to the distant sky, where they all explode, all eight Riders seemingly perishing alongside it when in truth they were blasted across space until they regrouped in Super-1. [Farewell, Hiroshi Tsukuba! Eight Heroes Forever....]
The jetblack epitaph is then brought up by Keith, saying its on the top of Mt. Cremona. Through advances in genetic research and deciphering that inscription, their research was able to progress. The inscription contained a record of abilities and form of the god's bones. It was the help of three cellular biologists from Japan that led to the birth of Koku and his guardians. One of the three biologists was Dr. Kazama, Keith's father. Keith also reveals that the one who was able to decipher that inscription was himself, aged 12. At that moment, Koku feels the presence of someone watching over them, with intent to attack. Koku engages with the attacker, whom is wearing a mask. The fight gets intense and essentially destroys the temple, with Keith in awe of their powers. In the middle of the fight, Koku is able to knock off the mask and the attacker is revealed to be Yuna. Stunned, Koku refuses to fight and asks Yuna if she remembers him. She states that he is the reason all their friends are dead and stabs him in the stomach. Still, Koku begs her to remember him, and she is hit with memories of their younger selves. She remembers and asks Koku where he's been all this time and she's been waiting for him. At this moment, Minatsuki, whom was watching the fight stabs both, and removes Yuna from Koku. 2ff7e9595c
